What it is

A system that reads bank statements and rebuilds the whole of a person's committed outflow: EMIs, NACH and ECS mandates, standing instructions, autopay and the annual renewal nobody remembers agreeing to. One picture, across accounts and across banks.

Why we built it

A balance tells you what you have, not what is already spoken for. Banks show a debit after it has gone and almost never the obligation behind it, so the number people decide on is the wrong one.

What we learned

  1. 01

A statement is not a format. It is several hundred formats, and the narration field is where each bank hides the part it never meant anyone else to read.

  2. 02

Identity is the whole problem. Linking a debit to the commitment behind it, across a re-registration, is where every simple approach falls over.

  3. 03

The user knows things the data cannot. A mandate that is active on paper and dead in practice looks identical on a statement.

Where it goes next

A multi-year problem, treated as one. The current question is narrow on purpose: can a commitment be tracked reliably through a re-registration.
